The clinical research industry has evolved rapidly over the years. New technology, regulations and scientific developments have significantly impacted clinical trials and the way we get drugs, devices, therapies and preventions to market. The industry has seen a rise in targeted therapies, patient-centric trial design, rare disease research and much more. With these trends come new challenges and a greater need for industry solutions capable of addressing these evolving research practices.

In an effort to better understand the new and recurring challenges of today’s clinical research industry, we created the 2017 State of the Clinical Research Industry Report. This free report takes a deeper look at challenges and practices in today’s research industry, as reported by over 900 survey participants.

Over the course of three weeks, we received responses to our state of the industry survey from individuals across the country that work for a variety of organizations, including research sites, AMCs, cancer centers, health systems, sponsors, CROs and more. Through this project, we identified our respondents’ key operational challenges and learned how their organizations are currently addressing these roadblocks.

After analyzing the survey data, our most significant finding is there’s more to be done to improve research operations.

In this report, we disclose our results and explore:

  • Challenges universally felt throughout research organizations
  • Ways in which technology influences trial operations
  • How metrics are used to guide performance decisions
  • The outlook of current trends in clinical research
  • And more

Find out why the need for solutions to address inefficiencies in research operations has never been more pertinent. Download the report today.
